Let’s Find This Reader Spring Dresses for a Larger Bust!

[ad_1]

This week, we got an email from a reader named Maddie: “I’m having trouble finding fun spring dresses that accommodate larger busts…”

She writes: “I’m a size 8/10 but have larger boobs for my frame (32DDD), and it’s tough to find the bright, flattering dress of my dreams (which falls somewhere along the matrix of Reformation / Gwyneth traipsing around the Italian Riviera in The Talented Mr. Ripley). I’m always *so nervous* about support. Now that spring is here both physically and spiritually (pandemic be gone!), I am on a mission to make my dream dress happen! What styles are you seeing that may translate for a larger bust?”

Yes, Maddie! We are happy to help! We turned to the wonderful Katie Sturino — body acceptance advocate, founder of Megababe, and author of the upcoming book Body Talk — for her shopping advice.

First, Katie recommends finding a dress with a little stretch, so the top can fit comfortably. She also prefers lower necklines, like a V-neck or scoop neck. “Of course, wear a full coverage dress with big boobs if you want to! But I always like showing a bit of skin,” she says. That said, make sure your cleavage line doesn’t get too long. “If the V neck is really deep and you have a foot of cleavage, you can be in a place where you’re not getting great support.” Katie’s final tip? “You can always buy two sizes up and get the body part tailored,” she says. “That’s the best way to get something to fit you perfectly.”

Here are a few dresses that might fit the bill…
