Amazon Top Holiday Toys 2022

Mark Lund/Studio D

The holidays may seem far away, but if you’re the type who likes to cross things off their to-do list early or simply save big when you can, now is the time to shop for toys on Amazon! Amazon Prime Day brings loads of amazing discounts across every category, and toys and gifts are no different — just take a look at Amazon’s Toys We Love section. Now’s the time to stock up on the holiday, birthday and just-because gifts for the little kids in your life.

But what to buy? The Good Housekeeping Institute‘s Parenting Lab spends the entire year evaluating and testing toys, including getting feedback from kids themselves. In addition, we keep an eye on toy trends and the hottest toys of the year — the ones that sell out before you have the chance to even know what they are. This year, the Institute has noticed more interest in toys that facilitate at-home learning (especially when it comes to STEM), help kids express their creativity (everything from art to TikTok videos), offer some kind of sensory experience or help with emotional learning and anxiety (enter all those fidget toys). Luckily, many of those are on sale this Prime Day.

Want more great toy recommendations by age? We have expert- and kid-approved picks for every child on your list: 2-year-olds, 3-year-old boys, 3-year-old girls, 4-year-old boys, 4-year-old girls, 5-year-old boys, 5-year-old girls, 6-year-old boys, 6-year-old girls, 7-year-old boys, 7-year-old girls, 8-year-old boys, 8-year-old girls, 9-year-old boys, 9-year-old girls, 10-year-old boys, 10-year-old girls, 11-year-old boys, 11-year-old girls, 12-year-olds, 13-year-old boys and 13-year-old girls. Many of the selections there are also available on Amazon.
