Turns out Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire did not just sneak into a theatres with their faces covered to keep the Spider-Man: No Way Home spoilers intact. They also lied or let’s just say, hid the facts from their friends. Andrew Garfield, during Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast revealed that his ex-girlfriend Emma Stone kept asking him if he is in the film. Emma, who starred as Gwen Stacy in the Amazing Spider-Man, kept texting the actor. “Emma kept on texting me,” said Andrew. He added, “She was like, ‘Are you in this new Spider-Man film?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about.'”
Andrew Garfield, who dated Emma Stone for four years, added, “She was like, ‘Shut up, just tell me’.” Andrew obviously, did not tell her anything. After the film released in December, Emma watched it. “She saw it and she was like, ‘You’re a j***’,” said Andrew Garfield.
Andrew Garfield and the other Spider-Man Tobey Maguire co-starred with the current Peter Parker Tom Holland in the 2021 film. The cameos came as a surprise to the fans of the film as both Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire had deliberately skipped all the promotional events related to the film. They were missing from the posters and the trailers to keep the surprise cameos intact.
Andrew Garfield and the Academy Award winning actress Emma Stone dated for 4 years. They broke up in 2015 and continue to remain friends.
