Fuel Prices Hiked For 8Th Consecutive Day; Petrol Touches New High Of Rs. 89.29/Litre In Delhi

Today, on February 16, 2021, petrol prices have touched a new high of Rs. 89.29 per litre in Delhi, 30 paise more than a day before, while diesel is priced at 79.70 per litre, and that’s 35 paise more than the previous day.

Fuel prices in India have gone up for the eighth consecutive day in India. Today, on February 16, 2021, petrol prices have touched a new high of ₹ 89.29 per litre in Delhi, 30 paise more than a day before, while diesel is priced at ₹ 79.70 per litre, and that’s 35 paise more than the previous day. At the same time, in Mumbai, petrol prices have touched ₹ 95.75 per litre, while diesel rates have crossed ₹ 86.72 per litre, which is an increment of 29 paise and 38 paise, respectively, compared to a day before. Petrol price in Mumbai is right now the highest among all metros.

Other metro cities saw similar price hike, in Kolkata, petrol prices today have touched ₹ 90.54 per litre, a hike of 29 paise compared to the previous day, while diesel rates have gone up by 35 paise, to ₹ 83.29 per litre. At the same time, in Chennai, petrol prices have reached ₹ 91.52 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹ 84.83 per litre, a hike of 33 paise and 39 paise, respectively, compared to a day before.

In general, petrol rates have been increased by a maximum of up to 33 paise a litre, while diesel prices have gone up by up to 38 paise a litre

In Bengaluru, petrol prices stand at ₹ 92.28 per litre, 21 paise more than a day before, while diesel is priced at ₹ 84.49 per litre, and that’s 37 paise more than the previous day. On the other hand, in Hyderabad, petrol prices today have touched ₹ 92.84 per litre, a hike of 29 paise compared to the previous day, while diesel rates have gone up by 38 paise, to ₹ 86.93 per litre.

In general, petrol rates have been increased by a maximum of up to 21 paise to 33 paise a litre, while diesel prices have gone up in the range of 35 paise to 38 paise a litre, across all major cities in India. Cumulatively in the last 8 days, the petrol and diesel prices in India have increased by up to nearly ₹ 2.39 per litre and ₹ 2.55 per litre, respectively.
