From cute images to candid notes, actors shared posts on Instagram. Topping the list is Mira Rajput, who shared a note that had her Instafam smiling. She posted the caption along with a photo of her daughter, Misha. The mother of two wrote, “The light of our lives, Happy Children’s Day today and every day my babies. Writer-director Tahira Kashyap too shared a message on the special day. Sharing a montage video of her son Virajveer Khurrana playing the guitar and clips of her daughter Varushka Khurrana, Tahira wrote, “I have always been inspired by children…their soul, energy, innocence, perception and it needs to be nurtured and protected. My first short film was on kids Toffee and my debut feature film Sharma Jee Ki Beti which I just completed shooting has them play a very big role and it’s only because there is so much to learn from them.”

“I value this day immensely as children inspire me like no one else! Happy Children’s Day!” Tahir, who is married to Ayushmann Khurrana added. Addressing the song playing in the background, she wrote, “This song Bachpan is from my first short film toffee! Very special.”

Actress Shilpa Shetty too shared a video of herself with her son Viaan Raj Kundra. In the clip, the two are seen playing with a slime-based toy. She wrote in the caption, “Always keep the child in you alive! Happy Children’s Day.”

Director-actor Farhan Akhtar shared a photo of his daughters, Shakya Akhtar, Akira Akhtar and said, “A world in which they can stay curious and always smiling. We owe them that much at least. Happy Children’s Day.”

Diana Penty shared a throwback photo of herself as a bespectacled child and wrote, “I’ll take a one-way ticket back to the ’90s, please.”

Kriti Kharbanda shared a throwback photo of herself in which she is seen with a sombre expression on her face. Speaking about being a serious child while growing up, Kriti said, “I look at my pictures, back from when I was a kid, and I’m frowning in most of them. can’t help but wonder what went through my mind back then. No point thinking about it I guess! But the more I look at them the more I realise the importance of smiling and laughing. I was a very serious, mature kid. I grew up before my time. I felt responsible for things maybe, or maybe I wanted to be an adult so desperately, coz u know, everyone listens to the adults! They have it easy I thought. Ha! Little did I know.”

As an adult, Kriti said that she was doing things differently. “Now I’m making up for lost time. I do stupid things, on purpose. Still mature, still feel responsible, but now, I don’t take myself too seriously,” she said, asking her fans to do the same.
