How To Arrange A Romantic Picnic

A picnic is a great way to get closer to the person you love. You can relax with them in nature and talk about your innermost feelings. However, not everyone can easily organise a romantic picnic. Luckily, there is a solution! Read this article to learn what you need to do to organise a romantic picnic that will surprise your loved one.

Preparing a picnic won’t take much time or money, but it will be a memorable time for you and your half.

1. Plan the menu in advance and buy all the necessary products so that you don’t waste precious time on the picnic day itself. Do away with plastic dishes. Even if you’re on a budget, try not to use plastic utensils as they look very cheap. If you are going to eat food by hand, remember that you may need a knife to slice cheese or spread pâté on bread or crackers. Don’t forget to bring a bag for dirty dishes.

The dishes don’t have to be very expensive. Most importantly, they must look good.

2. Prepare food that you both love. But don’t forget to make sure it’s something simple that you can eat outdoors. Don’t bring heavy food with you. Choose sandwiches, vegetable salads, avocado or a baguette with pâté or cold cuts. Mediterranean dishes are also great for romantic picnics.

Avoid food that might stain your hands or clothes, such as pizza or chicken wings.

Give preference to food that won’t stain your clothes or get your hands dirty. Get food that you can easily eat.

3. Take a basket. Buying a nice picnic basket is not a problem. And it looks so pretty and will look great in photos if you decide to make a couple. You can pack champagne, non-alcoholic champagne or even mineral water in a picnic basket. If you’re driving or not yet of an age where you can afford to drink alcoholic beverages, opt for non-alcoholic beverages.

Champagne is widely considered the most romantic of drinks.

If you’re on a tight budget, opt for sparkling wine as an alternative.

Don’t forget to bring a corkscrew. Otherwise, you won’t be able to open the bottle! You can chill the drinks by placing them in a container filled with ice cubes.

4. Select the “outfit” according to the location of the event. If the picnic will be on the beach, make sure the blanket is large enough to place both you and the food, so that nothing is lying on the sand. Chairs, cushions – all of these should not be afraid of sand and water.

If you are going to the park, a blanket is fine, but you may want to bring a film to put under the blanket as the grass can be wet.

Cushions will help you get more comfortable, you can even bring folding chairs and an aluminum camping table if you feel more comfortable.

5. Take a few things “just in case”:

  • A couple of jumpers in case it gets chilly in the evening;
  • an umbrella in case it rains;
  • and in case the weather gets really bad, you should have a quick evacuation plan.

6. Dress nicely. Your day will also be remembered for the way you look. Of course, you don’t need to get overly dressed up, but still try to wear something special. A stretchy T-shirt and sporty shorts won’t ruin the day, but they will add to the casualness of the day.
