What’s your everyday beauty routine? Now and again, I switch things up and try new trends, but most days I just want to look fresh and natural. Over the past few years, I’ve gotten really into ILIA. Here’s my four-step routine, if you’d like to see…
1) First, I start with their beloved Super Serum Skin Tint. This formula has a cult following and represents ILIA’s mission: “We believe in skin that looks like skin — and radiance that comes naturally. When wearing the skin tint, I still feel like myself — just glowier and more even. It also feels great to know that the ingredients on my skin are actually helping it instead of damaging it (SPF! Hyaluronic Acid! Plant-Based Squalane!), and the formula is silicone-free and fragrance-free.
2) Then I pat True Skin Serum Concealer on my chin, forehead, both sides of my nose, and any dark circles under my eyes. The concealer gives medium coverage but is super lightweight, so it blends right in. Once my skin is even, everything else pops — somehow my eyes look brighter and I look more awake overall.
3) Next, my hero product: ILIA’s Multi-Stick! I LOVE this little guy and swipe it around my face — on my cheeks, lips, eyelids and the bridge of my nose. It makes you look healthy and flushed, like you just took a brisk walk in the park (or “like you just had gentle but meaningful sex,” like my friend Gemma says). I keep one in my bathroom drawer and one in my bag so I can apply it on the go, and the stick also makes a slam-dunk birthday gift for a friend. They have 12 different shades; right now I’m digging Tenderly and I’d also love to try Dear Ruby.
4) Finally, I swipe on Limitless Lash Mascara. Confession: I used to think all mascaras were kind of the same, but then I realized my drugstore versions smelled like nail polish remover. So gross. Now I use ILIA’s award-winning clean version, and it makes lashes look long and thick, without clumps or flakes. You need only a couple swipes, and the best part is that it easily wipes off with water at the end of the day. That’s it!
