This budget gaming laptop features a 15.6-inch, full HD display with a speedy 144Hz refresh rate with a 10th-gen Intel Core i5 CPU, 8GB of memory and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti graphics. The GTX GPU lacks the ray tracing of Nvidia’s current RTX lineup but should let you play Fortnite and other casual games at medium settings at 1080p and 60 frames per second.
MSI
Move up in price and you get a more capable gaming laptop with RTX graphics and a fast display. This 15-inch laptop features a 10th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 graphics. The RTX 2060 is the budget card in Nvidia’s RTX lineup and offers excellent bang for the buck along with ray tracing, which reproduces how light behaves in the real world to give games a more photorealistic look. The 15.6-inch display features a full HD resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.

IMHO, this is the sleekest, best-looking gaming laptop on the market. Impossibly thin for a high-powered gaming laptop with a sleek, slab look, this 15.6-inch Razer Blade laptop also boasts a powerful, smart component lineup. This model pairs a 10th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU with Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 graphics and also supplies an ample 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. The 15.6-inch display features a full HD resolution and a speedy 144Hz refresh rate.
Newegg
This beast from Asus delivers GeForce RTX 2070 Super graphics, a superfast 240Hz display and per-key RGB lighting. A 10th-gen Intel Core i7-9750H powers the 15.6-inch, 1080p display, and you get plenty of RAM (16GB) and storage (1TB SSD).
Dell
This impossibly thin gaming laptop features 15.6-inch display with a full HD resolution and an insane 300Hz refresh rate powered by a 10th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU, 16GB of RAM and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super graphics. The only nitpick for this configuration is the 512GB SSD, which seems a bit meager given the high price and the other components being more high-end.
HP
This HP gaming laptop boasts a roomy, 17.3-inch, full HD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It features a 10th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU, 16GB of RAM, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 graphics and a 512GB SSD.
HP
This budget gaming laptop is a bit bigger with a bit more memory than the above Acer unit. It serves up a 16.1-inch, full HD display powered by a 10th-gen Intel Core i5 CPU, 12GB of RAM and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti graphics. With only a 60Hz refresh rate, however, its display is slower than the Acer Nitro 5’s.
