Tired all the Time? 4 Things You Should Do Right Now

Many people find themselves feeling extra sluggish regardless of their age.  Whether they are over the age of 60, or a senior in high school, fatigue can happen to anyone. People feeling fatigued can’t seem to change their energy no matter how many hours they may be sleeping at night.  They drink coffee after coffee hoping to bring their energy back up just to finish their day, yet nothing seems to be making a difference. If this sounds like you, then make sure you do the following things right now.

See Your Doctor

The first thing you should do is see your doctor. You want to rule out any possibilities like pregnancy, diabetes, or even chronic fatigue syndrome. Your doctor may decide to run some tests, in order to pinpoint where the tiredness is coming from. In most cases it’s likely a simple fix, however, in more serious cases it’s important that you identify the problem early on in order to rectify it.

Eat More Vegetables

If you notice that you’ve been feeling more tired than usual, one of the first things you should ask yourself is whether you’re giving yourself proper fuel. You can’t fill your tank full of chemicals, and additives, and not expect it to create a problem. 

Filling your body full of fresh and healthy ingredients is the best way to give yourself a boost of energy since it makes it easy for your body to digest. When you eat heavy foods that are hard for your body to break down, it’s no wonder why you’re feeling tired all the time.

Move More

When you’re tired, often the last thing you feel like doing is moving around. However, the truth is thoughts the less you move, the more susceptible you could be to feeling fatigued. Try to get into the habit of moving more in general. 

Whether it’s standing up more throughout the day, or taking a brisk walk several times a week, the more your body moves, the less likely you will be to feel energy slumps. If possible, incorporate an even more intense workout into your lifestyle. Dancing, running, or swimming can be a great way to boost your energy levels.

Cut Back on Caffeine

Even though you may be convinced that that afternoon coffee may be helping, the truth is that it might actually be creating more problems. Drinking caffeine past a certain hour can hinder our ability to fall asleep earlier. Try to avoid drinking coffee past 2:00 PM if you can, and you may just find that you fall asleep much earlier, not to mention, that you’ll be less susceptible to caffeine crashes.
