Tyrese Maxey part of 76ers’ trade offer for Kyle Lowry

With less than two days before the NBA trade deadline, the Philadelphia 76ers reportedly remain interested in trading for Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

The Sixers have been linked in trade conversations recently to Lowry, who will be an unrestricted free agent this summer. In order to facilitate a trade, the Sixers have reportedly made rookie Tyrese Maxey available in negotiations as part of their package, according to Scotto.

The 76ers remain interested in acquiring Raptors guard Kyle Lowry, and rookie guard Tyrese Maxey is among the assets available as part of a trade package, league sources told HoopsHype. Maxey has shown flashes of potential, including a 39-point game in January against the Nuggets.

Maxey, who was the 21st overall pick, is perhaps one of the best trade chips the 76ers currently have on the roster. He has shown flashes on the court and even surfaced in trade rumors involving James Harden when the Sixers were said to be interested in acquiring him from Houston.

The 20-year-old has played sparingly recently with the Sixers. He saw a large role early in the season when the Sixers dealt with health and safety protocols but has since been in and out of the rotation with the team mostly healthy again.

Maxey is averaging 7.6 points and 1.8 rebounds in 37 games this season.
