One of the most popular Instagram shots seems to be the classic hotel room shot overlooking the Eiffel Tower. You know the photo…influencers in their cozy bathrobes, drinking coffee and tucking into croissants while gazing out their window at the city’s most iconic landmark.
But which hotels can you see the Eiffel Tower from? There are actually quite a few hotels in Paris with a view of the Eiffel Tower, so I’ve put together a list of the best ones!
Where Exactly is the Eiffel Tower Located in Paris?
The Eiffel Tower’s official address is Champ de Mars, 5 Av. Anatole France, 75007 Paris, France. It’s located in the 7th Arrondissement of Paris, which is to the west of the city on the Left Bank of the River Seine.
Interesting Facts About the Eiffel Tower
Before I list the best hotels with Eiffel Tower views, first a little introduction to the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower is a wrought iron lattice tower named after engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed the monument.
It was built for the 1889 World’s Fair and was supposed to be torn down after 20 years but Eiffel cleverly installed a radio antenna on top of the tower and it became useful for sending and receiving wireless messages.
The tower was such a hit that it became an icon around the world. Today it’s the most visited landmark in Paris.
- The Eiffel Tower is 330 metres (1,083 ft) tall.
- It took 2 years, 2 months and 5 days to complete construction of the tower.
- The tower has 3 levels, with restaurants on the first and second floors.
- You can climb the stairs up to the first and second levels, or there’s an elevator that goes to all three floors.
- The tower was the world’s tallest building for four decades, until it was surpassed by New York’s Chrysler Building in 1930.
- The names of 72 famous French scientists are engraved on the Eiffel Tower and Mr Eiffel installed a meteorology lab on the third floor where he and other scientists study astronomy, meteorology, aerodynamics and physiology.
- On the top floor there’s a Champagne Bar where you can toast to your Paris trip while enjoying the panoramic views.
