If you can think back to the days before Netflix, you’d remember that there were two different types of Christmas movies: There were the ones that came out in the theater, and required convincing your parents to take a trip to the multiplex during the hustle-bustle of the holidays (and all the planning, popcorn and time that entails) in order to see them. Or there were the ones you saw on TV — if you remembered to check the listings and keep track of when they aired, because once they were gone, that was it for a year.
Now, both specials and movies are all available to watch at home, and they’re on whenever you want, thanks to streaming. The best kids’ Christmas movies on Netflix will be there for the entire season, ready whenever you have the time to watch them. And it’s not just full-length movies, either. There are half-hour specials for the toddlers and preschoolers who still want in on the holiday fun, or hourlong holiday-themed episodes of favorite Netflix shows for tweens and teens. You don’t even have to be on the “Nice” list to access any of them! Here are our favorite kids Christmas movies, specials and holiday episodes currently on Netflix.
