The new Honda CB350 RS shares its engine and chassis with the H’Ness CB 350
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India launched a new modern classic motorcycle today, the CB350 ₹ It is priced at ₹ 1.96 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It is based on the Honda H’ness CB350 platform and looks more like a scrambler. Photographs of the new new motorcycle show that the basic design is the same, but the rear section is new along with the seat. the footpegs are slightly rear-set as well. Honda will offer two colours on the bike which are – Radiant Red Metallic and Black with Pearl Sports Yellow. The rear of the new motorcycle gets twin shock absorbers, similar to the CB350 and a ‘dirt-bike’ like raised mudguard, a contoured seat, dual-sport tyre and an upswept side-mounted exhaust.

It was in October 2020 that Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India‘s MD and CEO Atsushi Ogata had disclosed to carandbike that the Honda will launch more models on the CB 350 platform. So, the new motorcycle will share the engine, chassis and suspension with the H’Ness CB 350.

The CB350 RS gets the same 348 cc, single-cylinder engine which makes 20.8 bhp at 5,500 rpm and 30 Nm of peak torque at 3,000 rpm. The 5-speed gearbox is also the same. The motorcycle gets a slipper and assist clutch. The Honda H’Ness CB 350 is a retro-styled roadster aimed squarely at Royal Enfield’s 350 cc motorcycles in that segment. Like Royal Enfield, Honda’s game plan could see the company introducing multiple models in the segment with different styling and take on Royal Enfield on its turf. Although, it is confirmed that the new model will be retailed through Honda’s BigWing Dealerships that are meant exclusively for premium motorcycles.
