The Aprilia RS 660 has been developed from the ground up and is built on an all-new platform with a newly-developed engine

The Aprilia RS 660 and the Tuono 660 have been developed from the ground up. The RS 660 was first revealed at EICMA 2019. The bike offers sharp styling with the distinctive dual-headlamp design that has been replicated on other models in the Aprilia family. The exposed frame is a nice touch. Meanwhile, the Aprilia Tuono 660 is the semi-naked sibling with a half-fairing, sharing the same underpinnings.

The supersport bikes use a die-cast aluminium frame with two lateral beams and the swingarm pivot mounted within the engine. The engine is used as a stressed member of the chassis. Suspension duties are handled by 41 mm Kayaba USD forks up front as well as a monoshock at the rear. The bikes use Brembo-sourced 320 mm discs up front with radially-mounted calipers. The cast aluminium wheels are wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tyres.

On the RS 660, the motor produces 99 bhp at 10,500 rpm and 67 Nm of peak torque at 8500 rpm. Meanwhile, the motor is tuned for 95 bhp at 10,500 rpm and 67 Nm at 8500 rpm on the Tuono.
