Appointments
David L. Archer, interim president since November 2021 of Christian Brothers University, in Tennessee, has been named to the post permanently.

Michael Baston, president of Rockland Community College, in New York, has been named president of Cuyahoga Community College, in Ohio.

Tracy Brundage, president of Keystone College, in Pennsylvania, has been named president of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, in Georgia.

Julie Chen, vice chancellor for research and innovation at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, has been named chancellor. She will succeed Jacquie Moloney, who plans to retire.

Alicia Córdoba, associate vice president in the Center for Catholic Studies at St. Mary’s University, in Texas, has been named president of Aquinas College, in Michigan.

Carlos Hernandez, chief financial officer at Sam Houston State University, has been named interim president of Sul Ross State University, in Texas.

Warren M. Hilton, vice president for enrollment management and student affairs at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, has been named president of Onondaga Community College, in New York.

Lisa Aguilera Lawrenson,acting superintendent/president at San Joaquin Delta College, has been named to the post permanently.

Carolyn Ringer Lepre, interim president of Radford University, in Virginia, has been named president of Salisbury University, in Maryland.

Robert L. Manuel, president of the University of Indianapolis, has been named president of DePaul University, in Illinois. He will succeed Gabriel Esteban, who will step down in July.

Charles E. Patterson, interim president of Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania since June 2021, has been named to the post permanently.

Robert Pimentel, vice president for educational services and institutional effectiveness at Fresno City College, has been named president. He will succeed Carole Goldsmith, who became chancellor of the State Center Community College District.

Mark C. Reed, president of St. Joseph’s University, in Pennsylvania, will become president of Loyola University Chicago.

Colleen Simpson, vice president for student services and regional learning centers at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, has been named president of Front Range Community College, in Colorado.

André Stephens, vice president for student development at Biola University, has been named president of Fresno Pacific University. He will succeed Joseph Jones, who will step down.

Darrell P. Wheeler, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Iona College, has been named president of the State University of New York at New Paltz.

Retirements
Mark La Branche, chancellor of the University of Tennessee Southern, plans to retire at the end of June.

DEATHS
Gordon B. Davis, a professor of management information systems at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, died on May 6. He was 91.

Sheldon Krimsky, a professor of humanities and social sciences in the department of urban and environmental policy and planning at Tufts University, died on April 23. He was 80.

Maria Marcus, a former professor at Fordham University School of Law, died on April 27. She was 88. Marcus taught at Fordham from 1978 until 2011 and was only the second woman to become a tenured full professor there.

Angelo Volpe, a former president of Tennessee Tech University from 1987 to 2000, died at age 83.
