Stephanie J. Fujii, vice president for academic affairs at Scottsdale Community College, in the Maricopa Community College District, has been named president of Arapahoe Community College. She succeeds Diana Doyle, who retired in June.
Maria Gallo, president of Delaware Valley University, in Pennsylvania, has been named chancellor of the University of Wisconsin at River Falls. She succeeds Dean Van Galen, who left to become president of Missouri Southern State University.
John E. Jones III, chair of the Board of Trustees at Dickinson College, has been named interim president following Margee Ensign’s resignation.
Betsy Libby, interim president of Central Maine Community College since September 2020, has been named to the post permanently.
Gerson Moreno-Riaño, executive vice president for academic affairs and chief academic officer at Regent University, has been named president of Cornerstone University. He succeeds Joseph M. Stowell, who retired in May.
Dana Nichols, chief academic officer and provost at Georgia Highlands College, has been named interim president. She succeeded Don Green, who left to become president of Point Park University.
DeRionne Pollard, president of Montgomery College, has been named president of Nevada State College. She will succeed Bart Patterson, who plans to retire.
Mark Rubinstein, president of Granite State College, has been named chancellor of the Community College System of New Hampshire.
Kathrine Swanson, vice chancellor for student success and engagement at Metropolitan Community College, will also become president of the college’s Longview campus.
Michaele Whelan, provost of Emerson College, has been named president of Wheaton College, in Massachusetts. She will succeed Dennis Hanno, who will step down at the end of the year.
Mark S. Wrighton, the former chancellor of Washington University in St. Louis, has been named interim president of George Washington University. He will succeed Thomas J. LeBlanc, who plans to retire at the end of December.

Biddy Martin, president of Amherst College since 2011, plans to step down next summer.

Margaret Drugovich, president of Hartwick College since 2008, plans to retire in the summer of 2022.
Mark Erickson, president of Northampton Community College, in Pennsylvania, plans to retire in the summer of 2022.
Gary M. Lawler, chancellor of Pennsylvania State University at Hazleton since 2007, plans to retire on June 30, 2022.

Deaths
Harry Ausprich, a president emeritus of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, died on July 28. He was 88.
Isaac T. Littleton, a former libraries director at North Carolina State University, died in August. He was 100.
Martha Kirkland West, a professor emerita of teacher education at Catawba College, died on August 26. She taught at the college from 1965 to 1981 and later wrote A College of Our Own: The First 150 Years of Catawba College (2001).
Hobson Wildenthal, a professor of physics and former provost at the University of Texas at Dallas, died on September 4. He was 83.
Jo Watts Williams, a vice president emerita at Elon University, died on September 16. She was 92. Earlier this year, the Dr. Jo Watts Williams School of Education was named in her honor.
Robert L. Wolke, a professor of chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh, died on August 29. He was 93.
