Karan Johar is a hands-on father and there is ample proof of this on his social media accounts. The director-producer’s Instagram timeline, for instance, features several pictures and videos of his twins Yash and Roohi. Now, the filmmaker has decided to mark the beginning of the New Year with a special video featuring his children. In the clip, Yash and Roohi are seen playing on Karan Johar’s lap as he remains behind the camera. However, the father of two can be heard talking to the twins and asking them questions. In the caption, Karan Johar wrote, “The spirit of New Year. Yash and Roohi style.”
The video begins with Karan Johar wishing his children, “Good morning.” To this, both Yash and Roohi say, “Good morning, sir.” Further, Karan Johar asks Yash, “Sir, what is your feeling for the day?” The little one says, “Happy.” When he asks the same question to Roohi, she says, “Excited.” Karan Johar adds, “That’s the way we want to face the New Year.”
Replying to the post, Sophie Choudry said, “Aww bless.” Bigg Boss 15 contestant Rajiv Adatia said, “They are so cute.” Director Zoya Akhtar and designer Manish Malhotra replied with heart emojis.
Karan Johar also shared a long note to mark the end of 2021 and welcome the New Year. Sharing a picture with his mother, Hiroo Johar and his kids, the director wrote, “This year, yet again was tough. We saw loss, pain, suffering and despair all around us. Just pointlessly hoping for a better 2022 is being optimistic but also somewhere foolish. The biggest change that has to happen is within YOU. You have to be the leader and driver of your own emotions. The toxicity around you is sometimes a result of various aspects but it’s certainly not the TRUTH!”
He further added, “Your success is your story to tell. And you will tell it when you follow a path with the only voice that’s screaming at you but you rarely listen to it. YOURS. Your voice of instinct. Make 2022 your year and the rest will fall into place!”
