Nakuul Mehta always has a way with words. From penning heartfelt notes for a loved one and sharing thoughts on issues that matter, the actor’s presence on social media is all things lovely. Now, on the occasion of his friend, actress Drashti Dhami’s birthday, Nakuul Mehta has penned a special — and rather witty — note for her. And, attached to his note are two pictures where the actors are sharing a hug. The difference? One was clicked several years ago and one more recently. Speaking about the throwback image, Nakuul said, “I grew a moustache. She still has curls. Not much has changed in all these years…”
Nakuul Mehta also added, “Happy birthday Drashti Dhami. P.S. Swipe left to the good part.” Replying to the post, Nakuul Mehta’s wife, singer Jankee Parekh Mehta dropped heart-eye emojis. Actress Vahbiz Dorabjee said in the comments section, “Omg so cute. Happy Birthday baby,” tagging Drashti.
A few days ago, Nakuul Mehta shared a fun video clip from his 2008 film Haal-e-Dil, directed by Anil Devgn. The clip features a song from the film in which he is seen alongside Ajay Devgn and Kajol. But there is a twist – the actor swapped the original song with the hit Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan song, Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein. In the caption, Nakuul Mehta wrote, “If you haven’t ever danced to this, have you even lived? Please don’t tell Kajol I did THIS!”
Replying to the post, actor Siddhant Chaturvedi said, “Ha ha! I remember this!”
Nakuul Mehta’s wife, Jankee said, “Who is this boy,” with laughing emojis. Nakuul Mehta’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 co-star wrote Disha Parmar also asked, “Yeh kaun hai (who is this)?”
Before that, he shared a video of himself grooving with another superstar, Madhuri Dixit. Sharing the video, Madhuri Dixit wrote, “Eternal crush since 1991. Please don’t tell Madhuri Dixit Nene.”
Meanwhile, Drashti Dhami, who recently tested positive for COVID-19, shared a picture of how she was spending her quarantine. She shared a photo of herself watching her own show Empire with some flowers and chocolate on the table and wrote, “Just some good things to keep me company as I fight the 3rd wave! Luckily, I can smell those lilies and enjoy that Twix. Counting on these blessings! Now accepting love and good food. P.S Also not so subtle plug of a good show on streamers!” asking people to watch her show Empire.
Soon enough, Nakuul Mehta landed in the comments section to say, “Also watch Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2. Will help you HEAL faster.”
