Luckily, St. Patrick’s day is a no-stress holiday that is meant for my favorite thing…. FOOD! I mean, I guess Leprechauns, Irish celebrations, and the color green factor into the holiday, too, but let’s be honest. The food is where it’s at! St. Patrick’s Day recipes are so much fun!

To take out all of the scrambles of trying to find out what people make to celebrate March 17th, I’ve rounded up all of my St. Patrick’s Day favorite recipes and put them here, all in one place! These recipes range from entrees, side items, desserts, and even some yummy snacks! Some work because they are green or rainbow. And others are traditional Irish food that you can make to really level up your holiday. You should find anything that you are looking for, plus some. This will be your best St. Patrick’s Day yet!

Preparing ahead of time is the BEST way to make sure that your St. Patrick’s Day recipes turn out perfectly! Here are a few tips on how you can make that happen and then your holiday won’t be stressful!

  • Buy the Food Coloring: The thing that my kids love most about St. Patrick’s Day is that everything is GREEN. And trust me when I say that you won’t find any green food cooring on the shelves if you wait until the last minute. Save yourself the hassle and buy it now!
  • Pick Recipes Ahead: It’s best to make your meal plan a week or so ahead of time to give yourself time to get everything. Because sometimes, ingredients can be tricky to find. Plan ahead and then you will have everything that you need at home before the holiday even begins!
  • Bake Ahead: To make it so that YOU can enjoy the holiday too and aren’t cooking all day, take your list of St. Patrick’s day recipes and see what you can make ahead of time. The cupcakes can be baked and refrigerated. Or the vegetables can be cut and store a day ahead. There is always something that you can do to cut the cooking time down on the day of the holiday.

Traditional Corned Beef and Cabbage

Making corned beef is a lot easier than you think! Corned beef is made in a homemade brine and then slow cooks to tender perfection alongside cabbage, carrots, and potatoes. This meal is perfect for St. Patrick’s Day!

Mint Brownies

These are the Absolute Best Mint Brownies Ever! They have a thick fudgy brownie bottom, soft mint middle and a smooth, melt in your mouth ganache top!

Ingredients: butter, unsweetened chocolate, sugar, vanilla, salt, eggs, flour, butter, cream cheese, mint extract, drops green food coloring, powdered sugar, butter, semi sweet chocolate chips

Irish Potato Candy

Irish potato candy is a no-bake treat filled with cream cheese and coconut flakes and then topped with cinnamon. These aren’t your regular potatoes, they are candy, and I am here for it! 

Ingredients: Cream Cheese, Butter, Vanilla Extract, Salt, Powdered Sugar, Sweetened Flaked Coconut, Ground Cinnamon

Slow Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage Stew
