Tata Motors Taunts Its Premium Hatchback Rivals; Invites Them On A ‘Crash Date’

Now both the Baleno and the Hyundai i20 have not been crash tested by Global NCAP and hence have no safety rating to their names.
It’s not the first time that Tata Motors has taunted its rivals for their product’s crash worthiness. It was back in November 2020, that the company took a dig at the Maruti Suzuki SPresso for failing the Global NCAP crash test results. It’s back again doing exactly that but this time calling out to the rivals to the Altroz. The Tata Altroz has received a 5-star safety rating by Global NCAP making it the safest premium hatchback in the country. Keeping this is mind, Tata Motors called out to the Bae-leno and the Hi 20 and asked both of them out on a ‘crash date’.
In the video, one can notice two hatchbacks wrapped in red covers with their DRLs turned on and these are the signature DRLs of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the Hyundai i20. So, for those who didn’t see it, the Bae-leno is of course the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and the Hi 20 is the new-gen Hyundai i20.

Now both the Baleno and the Hyundai i20 have not been crash tested by Global NCAP and hence have no safety rating to their names. The Altroz is the only premium hatchback with a safety rating to its name and therefore gets bragging rights too. In the video, the Altroz showers its love on its rivals saying “Hello Cupids and informed that Altroz loves his rivals, like Hi20 and Bae-Leno, and others… and therefore has decided to send a message of love to them.”

Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai have not reacted to this yet but we are glad to see the healthy competition between the rivals. We are also glad that safety is becoming the top most priority of most carmakers in the country and it’s competition like this that will push us in the right direction.
