Joint Venture Of Tata Consulting Engineers Limited Emerges Lowest Bidder For Bullet Train Contract

Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project: The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) opened the financial bids for the contract of project management consultancy (PMC) services for the construction of civil works packages for the bullet train project. NHSRCL, responsible for executing the country’s first bullet train project, said in a statement on Monday that the joint venture (JV) of Tata Consulting Engineers Limited emerged as the lowest bidder for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail PMC contract quoting an amount of Rs 111 crore. According to the organisation, the PMC contract includes the supervision of all 13 civil works packages including concrete or steel bridges, viaducts, tunnels (comprising undersea and mountain tunnels), civil work of all 12 high-speed rail stations, the training institute building, as well as the maintenance depots. The financial bids were opened after the evaluation of the technical bids. NHSRCL added that in the technical bid evaluation, two consortium or joint venture companies were qualified, which are as follows:
- Nippon Koei Co. Limited., Oriental Consultants Global Co. Limited., RITE Limited Consortium
- Joint Venture of Tata Consulting Engineers Limited, Consulting Engineers Group Limited., Aarvee Associates Architects Engineers And Consultants Private Limited, PADECO Co. Limited.
