(Pocket-lint) – OnePlus has announced its OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro during an online event today. The new phones sit at the top of OnePlus’ range.
Many details were known prior to the launch as a result of OnePlus’ dripfeed of product details online, which always makes for a slightly disappointing reveal.
Among the product details previously confirmed were:
They’ll have Hasselblad camera tech as part of a three-year partnership. We also knew they’d be running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 platform.
OnePlus 9 Pro can wirelessly charge to full in 43 minutes and support 50W wireless charging.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau tweeted from his official account that the OnePlus that the OnePlus 9 series will offer an LTPO display with support for a variable refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz.
Lau also teased one of the major improvements to the camera system on the OnePlus 9 series showing a better ultra-wide camera. We know that the camera housing will made of reflected glass and be in the top corner like the OnePlus Nord and it’s similar to the OnePlus 8T – you can see this below.
You can also see that the 9 Pro has two larger lenses and two smaller lenses. The ‘colour’ shown here is Morning Mist.
Plus there have been some official images of the new range-topper:
Specially designed reflective glass elevates the #OnePlus9Pro Morning Mist to new levels of design excellence. There’s nothing else like it.
See even more March 23.
