After designs seemingly leaked on social media in August, Starbucks’ fans will be excited to learn that new Halloween merchandise has finally hit the coffee giant’s many cafés — and a few rare, exclusive pieces have appeared in Target retail locations.

October 31 is still weeks away, but coffee aficionados are embracing a good dollop of spooky thrills with Starbucks’ brand-new Halloween items, which include 10 coffee tumblers, hot beverage mugs and water bottles. And because of their runaway popularity in years past, most of the new items on shelves currently are designed with special glow-in-the-dark Halloween decorations.

Released alongside more of the chain’s Fall 2022 merchandise collection, five pieces of Halloween-themed merchandise will only be available in Target stores across the nation.

Two of the most popular designs in this year’s Halloween crop include a striking design motif that features a raven, on a pair of Venti-sized tumblers, one including a steel encasement for ultra-cold iced drinks all year long. Available exclusively at Target, a glow-in-the-dark soft touch tumbler ($19.95) featuring a periwinkle color scheme has cup collectors in a frenzy due to its versatile design.

Equally striking and just as enthralling is another glow-in-the-dark cold cup ($19.95) adorned with a “prying eyes” design — an illustration of bats among spooky barren trees lights up at night, with seemingly endless glowing bat eyes staring back at you.

Fans of the downright scary and macabre may enjoy the Grande-sized glow-in-the-dark tumbler ($18.95), which has an ombré color scheme that fades to pitch black, making it an exceedingly thematic choice for Halloween parties and fall activities alike. The foreboding silhouette of bare branches and ravens in flight turn bright green in the dead of night due to their special design.

But none of these items glow as brilliantly as the new Venti-sized dark Lemongrass Bling Cup ($24.95), which Bling Cup fanatics will definitely wish to add to their collection.

There is a suite of other Halloween items Starbucks fans can get their hands on as well — our personal favorite is the glow-in-the-dark starry night sky hot coffee mug ($14.95) — in cafés and Target retail locations as of Tuesday, officially. And because Starbucks’ staff reportedly often display new merchandise as soon as it’s delivered to stores, there’s a chance you may have seen these Halloween pieces even earlier.

While corporate Starbucks officials haven’t confirmed if there will be additional releases of Halloween merchandise this year, diehard coffee fans already know that there are a few more pieces of themed merchandise to be released later this fall. Social media users have shared reportedly leaked corporate documents that indicate another crop of fall-themed cups and mugs will be released on Tuesday, September 29 — which means there may be a chance to shop restocked Halloween cups once more.

If you’re having trouble locating Starbucks’ Halloween merchandise, many cup collectors have stated that local Target retail locations with Starbucks offerings are more likely to have inventory in stock than standalone cafés.

And Starbucks has officially announced that Target locations have indeed begun to accept stars (reward points!) in exchange for their limited edition merchandise, making a trip to Target much more budget-friendly than in years prior. Happy hunting!
