$700,000 Homes in Quebec – The New York Times

A commercial strip with a supermarket, bakery, hardware store and library is about a mile north. Montreal is about 109 miles southeast.

As a rural area, the Laurentians region is exempt from Canada’s ban on foreign home buyers, enacted last January and recently extended until 2027.
