MG Motor India To Cover COVID-19 Vaccination Cost For Its Employees

MG Motor India’s manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, that has an annual production capacity of 80,000 vehicles, employs almost 2,500 workers and all of them will be covered under the program.

MG Motor India has announced covering the COVID-19 vaccination cost for all its employees and the vaccination drive will be over and above the company’s existing medical insurance policy. The carmaker is offering the vaccination on voluntary basis while encouraging all its employees to undergo the free vaccination drive. MG Motor India’s manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, that has an annual production capacity of 80,000 vehicles, employs almost 2,500 workers and all of them will be covered under the program.

MG Motor India has also asked its dealerships to conduct the vaccination drive.

The carmaker is also encouraging its dealer partners, contractors and vendors to do the same. The company will also partner with relevant authorities at its Gurugram and Halol facilities as well as at its regional offices to conduct the vaccination drive. The company has taken this precautionary measure seeing the increasing number of covid cases in its second wave. MG Motor India is reinforcing safety measures and doubling down on control to ensure the well-being of its employees.

MG has also had donated MG Hector ambulances to several hospitals in Maharashtra.

As a part of its SEWA initiative, MG Motor India had also donated retrofitted Hector Ambulances to several Hospitals in Maharashtra. As the COVID-19 cases are on the rise again in the state, the carmaker in collaboration with its Nagpur dealership has stepped-up for to help fight against the new wave of the deadly coronavirus pandemic. The Hector Ambulances are custom-built at MG Motor India’s Halol plant in Gujarat by its engineering team. The Ambulances are equipped with a medicine cabinet, 5 parameter monitor, auto-loading stretcher, ventilator, an oxygen supply system, an inverter with battery additional sockets, a siren, a lightbar, and a fire extinguisher.
