New Delhi:

Sara Ali Khan celebrated three years of being in the Hindi film industry on Tuesday. The actress celebrated three years of the release of her movie Kedarnath and took a look at her journey so far. A video montage of scenes from the movie, with the song Qaafirana playing in the background, was attached to a bittersweet note. In it, she paid tribute to her first co-star, the late Sushant Singh Rajput. Sharing the post on Twitter and Instagram, Sara Ali Khan wrote, “3 years ago my biggest dream came true. I became an actor, and my first, and most special film released. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to explain how much Kedarnath means to me – the place, the film, the memories, all of it.”

Referring to Sushant Singh Rajput, Sara Ali Khan continued, “But today I’m really missing my Mansoor. It’s only because of Sushant’s unwavering support, selfless help, constant guidance and compassionate advice that Mukku was able to reach your hearts. From Kedarnath to Andromeda. Miss you forever Sushant.”

She further tagged the director, producer and writer of the film. Sara Ali Khan said, “Thank you Abhishek Kapoor for trusting me with your vision, Ronnie Screwvala, RSVP Movies for believing in me and Kanika Dhillon for creating a character and world that I will always be proud of.”

Sushant Singh Rajput, who died on 14 June 2020, played the character of Mansoor Khan in the 2018 film.

On the work front, Sara Ali Khan is awaiting the release of her next film Atrangi Re, in which she will be seen alongside Akshay Kumar and Dhanush. The film is directed by Aanand L Rai. Sharing a photo with the director recently, the actress wrote, “Happy Thanksgiving. I’m truly thankful for you Aanand L Rai sir. Thank you for giving me Rinku. Lekin, picture abhi baaki hai (But, there’s more to the picture).”

Sara Ali Khan is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, both of whom are actors. Her paternal grandparents are veteran actress Sharmila Tagore and legendary cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.
